of California, the buzz words seem to be "Fiscal
Transparency."But as far as the California
news media is concerned, those words seem hollow.
In spite of all the talk about the recall petition
of Governor Davis and the state’s budget
impasse, no news organization has yet had the
foresight to link these with the burgeoning
"post the finances" ballot initiative
in the state.
Why is the media not talking about it?
Californians expect the media to inform them
of news and issues that affect the state.
"Post the
Finances" is news. It’s
time Californians heard about it.
